Special Events

At Vajradhara Kadampa Buddhist Center, in addition to our regular weekly classes and chanted meditations, we also offer regular day courses on a variety of Buddhist subjects and annual empowerments.

Our day courses are a time when members from our branch classes come together to enjoy teachings given by our resident teacher Kelsang Tilopa.   They generally run from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays. These events also serve as a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old ones.  Everyone is always welcome to join us.

Once a year Vajradhara Center also hosts an empowerment. These unique events are typically attended by people from all over North Carolina and often even by those from out-of-state. During these very special events, attendees immerse themselves in teachings, meditations, and a traditional ceremony.  These provide blessings for the mind which ultimately allow us to truly embody the beautiful qualities of compassion and wisdom, the essence of Buddhist practice.
