About the classes
Vajradhara Center’s meditation classes are suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome
Most classes run for about an hour to an hour and a half. We usually meditate sitting on comfortable cushions although chairs and couch space is also available. There is no physical exercise involved.
The general structure of the class:
- Simple guided breathing meditation
- Practical teaching on how to solve problems in daily life
- Second guided meditation on the teaching topic
- Brief discussion or Q & A
After the class everyone is welcome to stay for informal discussion with classmates or to ask questions of the resident teacher or senior students.
Attending the class
The classes are organized as short courses, usually spanning several weeks. You can attend the whole course or simply drop in whenever you can, as each class is self-contained.
You do not need to book in advance, simply find a class that looks interesting to you and pay when you arrive. If you would like more information or help, please contact us.
The following playlist contains a sample of seven videos concerning Kadampa Buddhism and examples of teachings similar to what you might hear at Vajradhara Center.
