Overcoming Stress and Anxiety, Saturday, Dec 12, 10 am – 1 pm
Sometimes stress and anxiety can be useful in that it enhances performance. But if a stressful and anxious state continues for too long it can cause both physical and mental problems. We have all experienced directly or indirectly the impatience and anger and physical problems arising from stress and anxiety.
Gen Tilopa will show how both stress and anxiety are aspects of the mind arising from ineffective ways of thinking about ourselves and our situations. Gen Tilopa will show how we can train our mind with meditation to see things differently so that we experience more patience and harmony in our relations with others, and in relation to the situation we encounter. By practicing these meditations we can reduce and eventually eliminate stress and anxiety altogether.
