Heart Jewel Practice
Our main practice as Kadampa Buddhists is the practice of Heart Jewel, which we recite everyday along with meditation on Lamrim.
In these prayers we make requests to our Spiritual Guide in the form of Je Tsogkhapa and ask for blessings to help us in our practice. The second part of these prayers are requests to Dorje Shugden – our Dharma Protector – for protection from obstacles and interference in our practice.
About 50 minutes
Once a week we do a longer version called Wishfulfilling Jewel.
Everyone is welcome to join us.
Offering to the Spiritual Guide
In this practice which we do twice a month on the 10th and 25th we make prayers and requests to our Spiritual Guide to help us to realize all the stages of the path. Our main practices as Kadampa Buddhist is Lamrim, or the stages of the path to enlightenment, Lojong, or training the mind and Mahamudra, or realizing the union of bliss and emptiness.
In this puja we also make tsog offerings which usually consist of food and flowers. You are welcome to bring a vegetarian offering. Afterwards we have a puja party where we enjoy all the offerings that were made.

Please check the calendar for dates and times
For all prayer sessions we use prayer booklets or sadanas and are guided by recorded audio. The sadanas are provided at the Center for use during the puja, and also available for purchase if you wish to practice at home.
