Tuesdays at 7pm, starting January 12th
with Gen Kelsang Tilopa
Delusions such as anger and attachment have no function other than to cause us harm. Delusions prevent us from finding the happiness we long for. We will learn how delusions form in our mind; the suffering they cause; and the meditations and contemplations we can use to reduce and eliminate them completely.
2015 Modern Buddhism Mini-Series: Gen Tilopa will explain a section of each series every week to gather an understanding of how we can incorporate these into our daily life.
Series 1 The Pathway to Perfection, August 18 – September 1
Series 2 The Core Teachings of Buddhism: The Four Noble Truths, September 8-22
Series 3 Refuge: The Ultimate Protection in Your Own Mind, September 29 – October 13
October 20th- Special Class with Nathalie
Series 4 Self and Others: How to Have Better Relationships, October 27 – November 17
Series 5 Complete Freedom from Delusions: The Minds that Keep Us Trapped, November 24th – December 15th
The Modern Buddhism Program is the primary program at the Vajradhara Center.
This is a drop-in class to help us develop a path of compassion, love and wisdom so we can transform our lives, improve our relationships with others, and look behind appearances to see the way things actually exist. In this way we can solve all our daily problems and accomplish the real meaning of our human life.
Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:15 pm. Classes are on a drop-in basis. You do not need to sign up for the whole course or a sub-series.
The cost is $10 per class for adults and $8 per class for students and seniors.
These Classes are Free to Foundation Program, Teacher Training Program, and Member Supporters.
