with buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Tilopa
We enter the Mahayana paths when out of compassion for others we develop the altruistic mind that is determined to do whatever it takes to ameliorate and heal others’ suffering.
Realizing that we can accomplish this superior intention only by becoming enlightened we simply decide this is how we will live our life. We engage in the path to enlightenment by taking the Bodhisattva Vows. There is no higher purpose to our lives.
When we take the Bodhisattva Vows we make this superior intention firm and like countless others who have gone before, we engage in all the practices that lead us to enlightenment.
Gen Kelsang Tilopa will grant the Bodhisattva Vows , and give commentary on the altruistic practices of Bodhisattvas.
