The Kadampa Buddhist Pathway to Enlightenment

Kadampa refers to the practice of all Buddhist teachings, the Dharma, in the special presentation, Lamrim,  of the 11th Century Indian scholar, meditator, and teacher, Atisha.  The Lamrim of Atisha has come down to us today in an unbroken lineage through the kindness of the internationally renowned teacher, master, author, and founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, and our Center, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

We now have the good fortune to have explanations of, and commentary on Atisha’s teachings for today’s busy lifestyles in our own language and in a presentation that is easy to understand and put into practice. Ven Geshe-la has presented the 21 Lamrim meditations of the complete path to enlightenment in the text “The New Meditation Handbook”, and an extensive commentary on these meditations in “The Joyful Path of Good Fortune, the Complete Buddhist Path to Enlightenment. Both of these texts are available from our bookstore and from Tharpa Publications.

The Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina is delighted that Gen Kelsang Tilopa will present the 21 meditations of Lamrim, the complete path to enlightenment in an 11 week series with two meditations each week. Each session will last for approximately 30 minutes and will include an introduction to the meditation; the contemplation instructions that bring the object clearly to mind; and guidance in the single-pointed concentration that creates a deep familiarity and experience with the meditation object. Each session will be available throughout 7 days for you to access as often as you wish and whenever you wish. Engaging with this series will change your life forever, and guide you to discover the joy of what it really means to be a human being. If you are new to Buddhism it will be helpful to get the most benefit out of the meditations if you could read the Preliminary Explanation section of the text “Modern Buddhism” or the Foundation section of the text “How to Transform Your Life”.  Both of these are by Ven Geshe-la and are free to download in a digital version from our home page.

The meditations will become available on Mondays and  Thursdays, beginning Monday, Feb 8, finishing Sunday, April 25.

The meditations are available as a complete series only, at a special price for the series of $85.

You may consider becoming a member of KMC North Carolina for at least 3 months, at a monthly cost of $55. Members will have access to the series for $40, in addition to the other benefits of membership that will accrue during the 3 month period.
